The AdviCare team is led by Stacy Gearhart. For the past 15 years, Stacy has worked with hospitals to recover almost a billion dollars in delayed and denied payment from third-party payers, including health insurers, Medicare, and Medicaid. She has frequently trained hospital staff on utilizing available laws and regulations to overcome insurance denials. As co-founder of Trilogi, Inc., a national healthcare receivables management company, and founder of AdviCare, a healthcare consumer navigation company, Stacy is committed to leveling the playing field for consumers and providers in their dealings with insurers by bringing a team of legal, clinical, and insurance industry professionals together to work on behalf of healthcare consumers.
Stacy received her Juris Doctorate from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana and her Masters of Law in Health Law from Loyola University School of Law in Chicago, Illinois.
Gloriann has over 16 years of healthcare leadership experience. She responsible for decreasing denials for multiple hospital facilities by over 30%, overturning denials with a success rate of greater than 95%, and working in partnership with providers to identify the root cause avoiding future denials. Gloriann has lead a team of healthcare attorneys and experts to resolve the most complex issues using clinical findings along with the most persuasive legal arguments in order to recover over a billion dollars in denied revenue for healthcare providers across the United States.
Gloriann received her Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University – Shepard Broad Law Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Information Technology from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida. She is admitted to the Florida Bar and an active member of Healthcare Financial Management Association
With over 17 years of experience in the Healthcare Receivables Management industry, Barbara has exceled in many roles with various organizations. As the IT Director for Trilogi, Inc., she formed and lead a team of dedicated individuals to support an experienced team of attorneys, nurses, claims representatives, and support staff. She was responsible for and managed the ongoing support and continued enhancements of the collection system and database that stored data for approximately $500 million in healthcare receivables. Barbara also worked closely with IT Professionals at hospitals across the nation to establish a seamless extension of hospital business offices via secure remote system access, secure EDIs, along with the software development and management of all system files while ensuring data integrity and a reconciled environment. As the CIO of AdviCare, Barbara is dedicated to supporting our team of legal and clinical experts along with our clients by providing a secure and accurate environment to level the playing field with payers and to ensure the information needed to resolve problematic healthcare claims is secure, accurate, and easily accessible.
Barbara received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering at the University of South Florida.
Laurie is a Certified Case Manager (CCM ®) and has worked in Case Management/Utilization Review for the past 10 years for both acute care hospitals and companies focused on healthcare revenue recovery. In the hospital settings, she has worked in both acute care and ER settings. Laurie has extensive knowledge of healthcare rules and regulations for commercial and government payers, as well as, a thorough understanding of internal hospital processes that impact the revenue cycle processes. Laurie has written appeals for both Inpatient and Outpatient claims, as well as, RAC denials. She has successfully overturned denials for variety of denial reasons including No Authorization, Level of Care, Length of Stay, Readmissions, and Experimental/Investigational. In addition, Laurie has provided hospital-specific and payer-specific trends related to root cause issues of denials and underpayments.
Laurie received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Florida Southern College and obtained her State of Florida Nursing License.
